Biography

Adam Scott-McGuinness is a songwriter, producer, audio/mixing engineer, and educator based in nipaluna/Hobart, lutruwita/Tasmania. His work spans music production, post production for media, game audio, sound design, songwriting, live performance, and education.As the creative mind behind projects such as Porcelain Pill, Pancake Slap, and his solo releases, Adam’s music blends organic instrumentation with contemporary production, weaving together acoustic and electronic textures that feel deeply human yet sonically adventurous.Adam has worked in sound design and music composition for a variety of corporate clients including Boost Juice, Retail Safari, and Agoda.In the field of game audio, Adam composed and implemented the adaptive music score and full sound design for Where The Snow Settles (Myriad Game Studios). His work on this atmospheric narrative game was nominated for Best Audio at the 2021 Australian Game Developers Awards. Using FMOD and C# scripting, Adam built a responsive sonic world that evolves dynamically with player interaction; an approach that merges composition, programming, and emotional design. Under the name Porcelain Pill, Adam has written the theme songs for games from Italian game studio Storm in a Teacup.At Tiny Giant Studio, which he founded in 2024, Adam produces, engineers and mixes artists across a wide spectrum of genres in addition to providing voice-over and postproduction services. Tiny Giant Studio is an intimate space in Moonah available by appointment.Alongside his creative practice, Adam teaches Contemporary Music at Rosny College and delivers the University Connection Program in Songwriting as an Associate of the University of Tasmania. He is passionate about mentoring emerging musicians and fostering creative independence through songwriting, production, and performance.
